Our History

Like a small acorn growing into a mighty oak, Lake Country Co-op has grown into a diversified retail organization. Since our incorporation on April 8, 1940, Lake Country Co-op has had sales of $3,946,550,174 and has generated savings of $207,870,461. Lake Country Co-op employs nearly 800 team members and has an active membership of over 36,000.
Over the years, Lake Country Co-op has amalgamated with other retail co-operatives, making them branches, to follow a larger vision of working together to not only strengthen the operations of all locations involved, but also provide expanded service to members.
