On Tuesday, August 27th from 4:30 to 5:30 PM, we will be having our first Lake Country Co-op Mini Chef Camp! This event will be hosted at the Prince Albert Food Store in the deli/produce section of the store. Any child from ages 6-12 can sign up.

The theme of the night will be “Back-to-School Pizza Night”! We will start with visits from managers from our Deli and Bakery departments, explaining the importance of food and kitchen safety. We then go through the products that will be in front of the Mini Chefs and get them to taste test the products (Cheese, Meat, Cooked Dough). Once they are completed, they will receive a Kid’s Club certificate that they are certified to make pizza! We will pack up the pizza, so they can take it home and bake it for their family along with a goodie-bag to take home!

The parents of the children who take part in Lake Country Co-op Mini Chef Camp are required to stay in the store while the child is in the camp. Parents will be offered free coffee, and can do their shopping around the store! They will receive 10% off of their grocery bill for that day only, plus the free and delicious pizza their Mini Chef makes!

Sign up is at Prince Albert Food Store Customer Service desk. There will be a $15 sign up fee per child, and there will be a limited amount of spots as we will be hosting a total of 30 Mini Chefs!
