Lake Country Co-op is heading to the Lake
January 21, 2022

[Emma Lake, SK] – [January 21, 2022] – Lake Country Co-op is expanding to yet another community within beautiful North Central Saskatchewan! We have acquired Ambrose Grocery along with their existing commercial units at Emma Lake.

Acquiring this diverse development will significantly expand our presence and position us to meet the growing needs of our members and customers, now, and into the future.

This site will continue to provide a vast selection of food and liquor products as well as a fuel and propane offering, and the ever-popular Bear Country Fudge treat destination. The existing Nica’s Clothing and Accessories, Pharmasave and Sprucebuds Cannabis will continue to operate on the site independently. The addition of the Ambrose retail establishment will provide local members and customers with increased access to superior services and product selection.

Ambrose is a trusted and well-respected local business, with values and services that align with Lake Country Co-op, which makes this opportunity a natural fit for our Co-op. Both entities have been an integral part of our communities for years and we are proud to continue the Ambrose legacy.

“We are very excited to have the opportunity to join the business community in the RM of Lakeland while providing exceptional products and services to new and existing members and customers deep in the heart of Lake Country” said Tim Keller, Lake Country Co-op CEO. “This investment supports not only the local community, but also contributes to the long-term success and sustainability of our Association”.

Lake Country Co-op is working with Ambrose Grocery to ensure a smooth transition for team members, members and customers. All existing Ambrose employees will be offered employment which will greatly complement the strength of our existing teams.

Lake Country Co-op is planning to assume responsibility of Ambrose operations in early March 2022.
