Colour Me Co-op Contest – Big River Winner

Big River (December 5th, 2019) — Lake Country Co-op is excited to announce one of our Kids Club Members, Alaina Kay (age 6), was chosen as the winner of the Colour Me Co-op Contest! As the winner of the colouring contest, Alaina will receive a Co-op Kids Club Gift Basket and her community of Big River will receive a community donation of $25,000 funded by Danone. The donation will be given to the Big River and District Recreational and Cultural Board to purchase a brand-new Zamboni for the Big River Arena.

The Colour Me Co-op Contest ran from September 26th to October 23rd, 2019 throughout participating retails in the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS). Any Co-op Kids Club Member under 12 years old could enter by submitting an entry form and colouring sheet to their local Food Store.

“We are so excited for Alaina and the community of Big River,” said Jill Dumanski, Director of Marketing and Community Relations for Lake Country Co-op. “The Big River Arena is a major gathering spot for their community and this donation will help continue health, wellness and active living in their town.”

The $25,000 cheque was delivered by Lake Country Co-op's CEO, delegates and managers to the Big River and District Recreational and Cultural Board on December 5th, 2019.
