Fuel Good Day Returns September 15, 2026

Fuel Good Day is back on September 15, 2026, giving Lake Country Co-op members and customers even more ways to fuel good and support local charities and non-profit organizations in our communities.

On September 15, 7¢ from every litre of fuel sold at participating Lake Country Co-op locations in Air Ronge, Choiceland, La Ronge, Nipawin, Prince Albert, and Shellbrook will be donated to a selected local charity or non-profit organization in each community.

But the giving doesn’t stop at the pumps! You can help support Fuel Good Day in several ways:

• $1 from every Big Cool Slush and Co-operative Coffee sold on September 15.
  
• 5¢ from every pound of propane sold on September 15.
• From September 9–15, $2 from every Extreme Car Wash purchased will be donated. At our La Ronge Wand Wash — $2 from every $15 reloadable wash card will be donated.
• Also, from September 9-15, customers can make a direct contribution at participating locations, with donations starting at $2.

We’re proud to partner with local charities and non-profit organizations and provide our members and customers with opportunities to give back to the communities we call home.

Our selected organizations are:

Kikinahk Friendship Centre — Air Ronge & La Ronge C-Stores

The Kikinahk Friendship Centre in La Ronge is a non-profit organization supporting youth and families through inclusive, culturally grounded programs focused on recreation, family support, nutrition, and community outreach. By creating safe and welcoming spaces and partnering with local organizations, Kikinahk helps strengthen community connections, promote Indigenous values, and support the well-being of families throughout the community.

Choiceland Cooperative Childcare Centre — Choiceland C-Store

The Choiceland Cooperative Childcare Centre is a new, licensed, not-for-profit daycare facility opening in Choiceland in September 2026. The centre will help address the community’s need for affordable, accessible childcare while supporting local families, attracting new residents, and creating opportunities for individuals looking to work and build a future in the area.

Nipawin Region Health Foundation — Nipawin C-Store and Nipawin HABS

The Nipawin Region Health Foundation Inc. is a registered charity dedicated to supporting local healthcare. Every dollar raised stays in the community, helping support the Arborfield Special Care Lodge, Carrot River Health Centre, Cumberland House Health Centre, Nipawin Hospital, Nipawin Pineview Lodge, Smeaton Health Centre, and other approved healthcare providers.

Creative Kids — Prince Albert 2nd Ave and South Hill C-Stores

Creative Kids helps remove financial barriers for children and youth ages 4–19, giving them access to arts and cultural programs such as dance, theatre, music, visual arts, and traditional cultures and languages. The need in the Lake Country trading area is significant, with 155 local children receiving $76,733 in support in 2025. Funds raised locally stay local, helping connect children with local artists, teachers, musicians, and Elders while supporting more children who need assistance to participate.

Rose Garden Hospice — Prince Albert Cornerstone and Marquis C-Stores

The Rose Garden Hospice is a non-profit organization providing compassionate, holistic end-of-life care at no cost to individuals and families across Prince Albert and northern Saskatchewan. As the region’s only freestanding hospice, it provides dignified, comfort-focused care in a home-like setting, supported by healthcare professionals and dedicated volunteers. Since opening in October 2023, Rose Garden Hospice has supported more than 375 individuals and their families, relying on community donations and partnerships to continue providing this essential care at no cost.

Shellbrook Fire & Rescue — Shellbrook C-Store

The Shellbrook Volunteer Fire Department responds to fires and emergencies in the community and supports STARS landings at Shellbrook Hospital. As local volunteers, the department goes above and beyond to support community members in times of need, offering compassion, strength, and a positive presence during some of life’s most challenging moments.

Kikinahk Friendship Centre 

• La Ronge and Air Ronge locations will have a raffle table featuring hoodies and other donated items from local businesses.
• Each location will be raffling off an Ice Wolves season ticket pack as the first prize.
  • To enter the raffle draws, customers simply need to write their name and phone number on the back of their receipt and submit it at the raffle table.
• La Ronge Ice Wolves will be at each site from 12:30-5:00pm

Choiceland Cooperative Childcare Centre

• Enter for your chance to win a fuel purchase gift card valued up to $100 and lots of other great prizes.
• Shop local vendors on-site

• A tent will be set up with promotional materials and branded swag, including fidget toys, pens, bracelets, and more.

• Shantel Kalika and her Pro Late Model: On-site from 8:30–11:00 a.m.

Rose Garden Hospice

Shellbrook Fire & Rescue

• A 50/50 raffle will be held with a $1,000 guarantee.
• Trucks and equipment displays will be on-site for customers to interact with and tour.
• Local volunteer firefighters will be on-site to visit and answer any questions!
