Lake Country Co-op is currently accepting applications for a Part Time Clerk/Cashier at our Smeaton store.
Primary Job Functions:
Provide prompt, personalized customer service to all of our members and guests. Process sales and receive payments from customers. Provide information and assist on all inquiries. Receive, price and order products as required. Scan and key all products in computerized till system. Maintain a safe, clean and well-merchandised checkout area. Thank all customers for visiting the store and ensure that they are completely satisfied with their in-store experience.
-Outstanding interpersonal skills
-Experience in providing excellent customer service
-Strong technical and analytical skills for the operation of the cash register and other electronic equipment
-Ability to merchandise all related products in a designated area
-Strong mathematical skills with the ability to reconcile till with total sales: comfortable with numbers
-Attentive to detail and able to remain calm under pressure
-Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
-Must be able to fulfill physical job requirements including pushing, pulling, lifting, crouching
Cashier, clerk or retail experience would be an asset but training is provided to all new employees.
Reports to the Smeaton Store Team Leader.
